Chitwan National Park
The Chitwan National Park is one of the finest Natioanl parks in Asia, which lies in the lowlands of south-central Nepal,165 kms, from kathmandu, is also listed in the world heritage site since 1984. It is renowned for its variety and plenty of wildlife and vegetation. The park offers a variety of flora and fauna unique to the area along with some of the world's most exotic wildlife and vegetation. A dense tropical and sub-tropical forest is the home of forty-three species of mammals where the famous elusive royal Bengal Tigers prowl, endangered freat one- horned rhinoceroses roam. And we find orher animals like leopards. Wild elephants a variety of deer, bears, four horned antelopes, porcupines, monkey, langurs, pythons, gigantic dolphins, two species of crocodiles- the vegetarian gharials & flesh eating marsh muggers. For the bird watching and nature lovers, it is a paradise with over 450 species of exotic birds, many of which are migratory making chitwan their wild houses and its 932 square kms. offering great scope for adventure and exploration.
How To Get There
A pleasant 5 hour drive from Kathmandu to Chitrasari, Chitwan along the Trisuli River by Car or Tourist coach or can have an exciting way to reach resort through white water rafting trip in the Trisuli River floating down the river experiencing its numerous rapids and seeing a variety of villages, flora and fauna along its bank or can make short travel twenty minutes by Air Kathmandu-Bharatpur where we make an arrangement to transfer you to the Resort.
For Your Convenience
Bring your camera, binocular, comfortable a pair of hiking shoes, raincoat (for the summer) warm clothes for winter (November to February) and light cotton clothes for the rest of the year.
