I am getting too many conflicting reports to account for all of the festivals and celebrating that is going on these days – and the internet isn’t helping. Suffice to say that the monsoon is wrapping up and you don’t have to go far to see multitudes of women dressed in red and dancing. This is one day at Hamro Ghar with at least 200 people.
To be a volunteer here is to be invited to these festivals, dragged out to dance and wind up on the next days news! Here Michal, Catherine and our new friend Rebecca (who was volunteering at the women’s center) are watching the festivities.
Catherine and Rebecca arrived only this week and they went straight to work at Ideal Home women’s center designing and developing new products for the women to make. Catherine is a designer back home and we have high hopes for her time here.
To be a volunteer is to make many friends from around the world - truly great people - and then to have to say good-bye. Now with e-mail, Face book and Skype we are never very far anymore. So to Michal (who rocked at Hamro Ghar) and Rebecca (who shined at Ideal Home) Until we meet again.
