Korean Concert to support VolNepal's Programs What made you decide to get involved in fund raising?
There was a club called Nepal Project in the school. I started to join that group and studied Nepal and we prepared ourselves.

How did you decide what to do?
First I wanted to do some art. So I prepared some papers and color pencils. When I arrived there I thought that I could start a library in the orphanage. So, I bought some paint and worked on the library with my partner.

How did you manage to raise such a large amount of money?
We organized a concert in the school and collected money there. Then we participated in different kind of special events at the school and sold food etc.

Any top tips for other fund raisers?
Be creative and think about how you can win the attention of the others “Exploit as many different sources of funding as possible. Advertise what you are doing in as many places as possible, try and get generate interest. Do something a bit different and have fun doing it. Also organization is key, things can get pretty confusing with money coming in from different sources and getting everything ready for the event.

Would you do it again?
Yes, probably
