- Waterfilter System 220 Euros
- Power Backup-System, Material, Installation 370 Euros (Nepal suffers regular, scheduled power cuts every day up to 16 hours. Children in the orphanage often had to do their homework, games and dinner in the dark with only some candles poorly lightening the house. With the power backup-system they now can run some energy saving light bulbs in order to have a somehow normal living conditions. More information about this you find on my blog at www.danistein.com)

- Fun fair including food for 15 children 36 Euros (Hey, and what is that fun fair thing you'll be asking now. Well, you have to know that the children in the orphanage I have been leave the house in the morning to go to school and from there they come back to the house. They don't have really much of a garden or a yard where they could play outside so basically they are inside all of the time. One day I heard them talking about a fun fair here in Kathmandu and I thought it would be nice for them if they could have a day out. I can tell you that their faces alone when we arrived at the fun fair where worth the whole trip. Without a doubt they will remember that day for a long time.)

Current News
1. Program as a whole:

VolNepal seemed to me a competent organization with a compassionate purpose and a positive impact on its communities. They were thoroughly accommodating and genuinely concerned with my experience, mitigating the stress and discomfort of culture shock.

2. Home Stay:

After a few meals together, I felt intimate friends with the family operating the homestay. They showed typical Nepali hospitality and generosity, and made me feel at once an honored guest and a friend. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was tasty, and the homey atmosphere provided respite from the urban insanity of Kathmandu.
